My Shoes

Shoes

They feel good on my feet
Cozy and comfortable as I move
Used everyday
Sounds silent
looks dirty, and is black and white, with a glimmer
Also smells bad
They do just fine

Why I Am Against Internet Books

E-Book is Evil. Schools around the United States are changing the ways they read books. What they are doing is replacing regular books, and making them internet books. This means that they are using online books such as E-book. Books should not be replaced by newer hardware, because it would be tough to learn something new, when we already know how to use books.
I am against using the computerized libraries. I believe that it is a waste of money to purchase online books, when we already have our own. It would be tough to be able to get enough money to purchase the online reader as well. Instead you should keep the books, or at least keep the books and buy 1-15 online books, so you still have books.
Another reason why we should not have online computers is because things on the computer could create a large distraction, and students would not be paying attention. Buying the online libraries would waste a bunch of money, and you could use the money to buy new books to replace older and destroyed books. Also you would spend more money for power, and the price would be high. A disaster may occur if the power went out in the school, then you would not be able to use the computers at all, another disaster could be Computer viruses.
Our school does not need to have new online books, because we are fine with regular books. I do not see why we would need internet books, sure you don’t have to carry them around, and you do not have to renew them at libraries but regular books are better than online. Regular books are better because you can’t use them over again or they will get ruined, but that makes them special, and it makes the books look more than a antique. That’s why I think regular books are beter than internet books.

What i will do to make a Difference

“What will I do this year to make a Difference?”

This year I will try to make a difference by
  • Arranging to do my homework right after school. I will do this by working on the computer for help. I will do my homework at my computer desk. My family will help me as well, if I am stuck on something.
  • Doing work in tutorial. I can do some of my homework during tutorial. I can ask teachers for help during lunch and tutorial. I will do unfinished homework or extra work I can do during school.
  • Investigating study strategies and finding one that works for me. I will find a way that I can study during the day. I can study my notes and study before I go to bed. I can create flash cards for all my words I need to know for classes and practice with my family.
  • Talking to people about jobs and job shadowing. I can find jobs that I would like to do when I am older. Also I can look for jobs I can do now to know what it feels like to work. I can ask people of good, and bad, places to work.
  • Joining the art club. I can join a club I am interested in during school. This will help me focus more on school. It is good for me to do an activity to keep my mind moving. I can ask around about how I join a club, and when it starts, and where it is held.
